From Limassol: Akamas Highlights and Blue Lagoon Day Trip

1. From Limassol: Akamas Highlights and Blue Lagoon Day Trip

Discover Akamas’ most exciting features during this private full-day trip by both land and sea. Start with a view of the Sea Caves, the island's banana plantations, and a shipwreck in the immediate vicinity. Visit a local winery and tour the Botanical Gardens before experiencing a boat ride to the Blue Lagoon. Gaze at the Sea Caves, dark mysterious tunnels set in pale-colored rock, looking out over clear blue-green waters. Observe the island's banana plantations close by, filled with trees with broad, palm-like leaves waving leisurely in the sunshine. Admire fragrant herbs and shrubs while you luxuriate in the cooling touch of the sea breeze in the Botanical Gardens. Stroll along the Baths of Aphrodite Trail and enjoy panoramic views of Paphos' Forest and the town of Polis Chrysochous. Watch fishing boats come and go at Latchi Harbor. Take photos of the Akamas Nature Reserve on your way to the Blue Lagoon by ship. Sip wine and fruit juice, and nibble on fresh fruit while you enjoy the view, and swim in the clear blue water beneath the cloudless sapphire sky. Sail back to the harbor, home to several seafood restaurants and sample the day's catch at a seaside tavern. It's the perfect time to relax and reflect on the magical day spent exploring this magical peninsula filled with natural beauty.

All in all a very nice day trip with a dedicated guide and nice driver. First, everyone was picked up from their hotels, even us and three other Limassol participants, although most were staying in Paphos. After everyone was picked up, we started with a short stop at the Edro shipwreck, then we also stopped briefly at the Sea Caves. After that we drove a little deeper into the Akamas National Park to taste some wines at a winery. Lunch menu cards were passed around for everyone to choose from on the way to the next stop, the Baths of Aphrodite (lunch is an extra charge). After lunch we went to Latchi Harbor where our boat to the Blue Lagoon started. We stayed there for an hour, during which time there was free fruit, juice and wine on board. In the end, everyone was dropped off at their hotels.

The trip to the Blue Lagoons and the Baths of Aphrodite was a paradise tour. We enjoyed very much the clear waters and the amazing beautiful sites. Thanks to Miss Viola, the tour guide for having everything perfectly organised with the generosity of Cypriot hospitality. In addition, the group who joined was extremely friendly. We would definitely do it again.

The trip was enjoyable and pleasant, the staff was kind. They arrived on time to pick me up from the hotel and returned me. I didn't like the restaurant they took us to for lunch. The fish was not that fresh. Other than that it was fun.

This was a gift for my mum and dad. They had an excellent day. They said the guide and the driver were brilliant. Thank you!

Beautiful experience. Lovely places and friendly guide.
