Ascend to Wanna Lookout for sweeping views across Sleaford Bay. Morning tea is paired with breathtaking views at a locally-loved picnic spot. Stop for lunch at a popular local haunt, the Fresh Fish Place. Sample the region’s world-renowned seafood fresh from Australia’s busiest fishing fleet.

Next, enjoy a scenic drive along the untamed coastline of Whalers Way brings you to Mikkira Station and the chance to get up close with some 150 wild koalas residing among the manna gum. Home to the only wild koala population on the peninsula, as well as kangaroos and emus, this sanctuary is a must for wildlife lovers. Very knowledgeable guide. Took you to areas not usually accessible to the general public. Met koalas in the wild for the first time which were on low trees so very east to view and photograph. The seafood restaurant and retail outlet was first class. The guide at the Maritime Museum was very informative and the museum was very comprehensive and well maintained. Saw lots of fur seals, emus and birdlife. *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Just a bit of suggestion for lunch is better everyone to have a separate meal packed rather all sharing from one thing especially this this of coronavirus. Otherwise everything else was great. Paul was an excellent tour host, his knowledge was fantastic and I know my wife and I understand more about this great area because of his input. We were able to visit areas that we would not have known about, or be able to access in our own car. Fantastic day, definitely recommend to others who want to see and learn more about Port Douglas and see some stunning scenery.
