    • St. Peter's Basilica remains closed every Wednesday from 8 AM - 12 PM. It is also closed at Easter, other religious holidays, and December 25th and 31st. During these times, the tour will be offered in other parts of the Vatican Museums
    • On rare occasions, St. Peter’s Basilica is subject to closure without notice. In such case, you will spend part of the tour in the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, especially the Raphael Rooms

    TOP VISIT!! I wanted to trust GET YOUR GUIDE on this activity which was specified as a favorite and I did well! First of all I would like to thank our Guide, Rosalia, for her explanations and the sharing of her knowledge! She has impeccable French, I recommend her 100%! I must specify that the museums at the base are not really my cup of tea but the Vatican Museum is worth the detour. The Sistine Chapel is a must and if you don't visit St Peter's Basilica, you have understood nothing! In short, a visit that lasted a little more than 3 hours but which interested us a lot!

    We found the meeting point with a little help. It was around the corner from that indicated on the paperwork. Extremely busy our tour had been put back 30 minutes. Although not notified it was of little matter. It was a relief to bypass the droves of visitors awaiting outside the museum entry point. Getting through security / reception took a further 30/40 minutes while children in the group were documented. All aspects of the museum and basilica were breathtaking and our guide was both friendly and informative. A couple of hours was only sufficient to get a quick walk through the major museum contents, while the tour of the basilica crypt and the papal internments was a particular highlight. The half light in the Sistine Chapel made detailed viewing of the ceiling difficult.

    Fantastic tour with loads of information along the way ! Party was slightly larger than anticipated but we believe this was to ensure everyone who had paid for earlier tour ( cancelled ) was given opportunity to join later. Our guide was pleasant, humorous and patient ( people were straying … ) haha. Only saw a patch of the magnificent sites but definitely the way to go if only in Rome for a short period. Mille grazie !!
