    Travel from Tangier to Chaouen, a Berber town located in the middle of the Rif Mountains. It is famous for its blue and white houses and its Arab Andulusian traditions. On this full-day excursion you’ll cross the Rif Mountains and enjoy spectacular views along the way. Explore Chaouen’s lime-washed white streets and the local markets, where you’ll find lots of local people dressed in colorful attire. Visit Ras Elma Springs, a mineral water source for which Chaouen is famous. Stop at one of the cozy riads, and enjoy your lunch on a roof-top terrace overlooking the foothills of the Rif Mountains.

    Yoseph was an amazing tour guide along with the driver Mohammad. Mohammad let us stop for coffee and allowed us to stop and take pictures on at a beautiful restaurant over looking the lake. Yoseph provided great history of the city and how all the blue came to be. He was open to answering any questions and took amazing photos of our tour. He should be a photographer for his direction and filters he used. Would highly recommend this experience!

    In September it can be hot. Be prepared with cool clothing, sunscreen and water. Streets were uncrowded which was great for photographs- and there are many incredible images to be seen in Chefchaouen! Delicious fresh figs and orange juice plus cooling off in the river were refreshing. Don’t miss the panoramic view of the city from the hilltop Spanish Church. Mohamed was an awesome guide who spoke very good English and gave us the history as well as personal experiences with locals (unforgettable!)
