Sam was an outstanding guide, who did not hold us against our delay, exuded security at all times and was responsive to every individual request. With a pinch of her great humor and her easy-going manner, she taught us everything about glaciers that you can learn in one day, including spike shoeing and climbing. The experience in a small group was really special and climbing is possible in every age group. I'm afraid of heights, but I also had a lot of fun climbing. I would have given 6 stars if that were possible. Diego also deserves praise for his active support with Sam and his confident charisma.

It was a beautiful experience. first you take a walk on the ice with crampons and it is superb, then you try to climb an icy wall with ice axes. it is a simple wall and you are secured to a rope with the guide but it is really nice to try and get to the top. there were three of us on tour and the guide, a very attentive girl who is passionate about her job and the glacier she visits. walking and climbing are simple and you don't need a particular athletic preparation to do it

Amazing adventure, inspiring guide

One of the highlights of our stay on Iceland! The guide from Tröll Expeditions, Vincenzo, was extraordinary; in an extremely pedagogical way, he explained some of the wonders of glaciers and made us want to learn more. Putting safety first, he encouraged and inspired each group member to climb, and even offered an extra hike to see more of the glacier. Very professional, warm and humorous, as was the other guides we met.
