Full description

Experience a hiking adventure through the Hawaiian rainforest and explore Maui’s waterfalls. Thrill the adventurer in you — jump into pools from rock ledges and learn about the region from your naturalist guide.

Meet your guide outside of Kahului, or select the option including transportation to benefit from hotel pickup and drop-off. Then head to the trailhead to begin your hiking adventure.

Follow 2 streams through the lush rainforest of East Maui, passing 3 to 5 waterfalls. The falls range from 3 to 12 meters high, and you can even jump from rock ledges into some of the pools.

Refresh yourself with a dip in the cool waters, and enjoy a picnic lunch beside the majestic falls. Bottled water and snacks are included, as well as lunch.

As you continue on, admire local flora and fauna as you learn about the cultural significance of plants such as the ti leaf, bamboo, taro plant, and others from your experienced guide.

This was the best excursion or event we had attended while in Maui. The nature lesson was great, but the highlight was definitely the waterfalls, pools, and cliff jumping. Our guide, Jacob, was fantastic. We were combined with four other families we hadn't previously met, so the hikers' ages ranged from 9 to 70, and everyone appeared to have an outstanding time.

Our Hike Maui experience was awesome! It was the perfect amount of time, the waterfall stops were beautiful, and there were a couple of opportunities for safe cliff jumping. Our guide, Des, was wonderful and had a knowledgeable answer for every question asked from Hawaiian history to ecology and everything in between. The sack lunch was simple but delicious and Hike Maui provides backpacks and supplies for everything you need. I would highly recommend this excursion!

Had the best time with our amazind tour guide, Des from @hikemaui . We were picked up from our hotel in Kaanapali, which is such a relief since we don’t drive. An overcast day filled with fun and adventure. From the hike, to the waterfalls, to sharing knowledge about Maui fauna and flora, Des was all the way knowledgable.
