Amazing boat cruise. Definitely preferred the smaller boat for Milford Sound. Best experience being at the front of the boat to see the small dolphins swim by, sea lions snoozing on the rocks, and to also witness first hand the glacier waterfall spray (don’t forget your rain jacket)! Highly recommend giving yourself plenty of time to drive there and back due to the beautiful scenery.

Very easy and enjoyable experience with Mitre Peak Cruises. Easy process, knowledgeable captain and crew. We had the perfect cruise on the boat. Unfortunately some people cut lines to get on board sooner and when it came to seeing dolphins wouldn't move over at all to give room for others. But that's people and has nothing to do with the company. Totally recommend this trip. We took the 8:50am tour and water was very calm and we were one of first boats out.

It was raining when we started the trip, with low visibility, and we thought the views might be disappointing - but the waterfalls were stunning (they only come with the rain). And we were lucky that the sun came out later in the trip. There was plenty of room to move around the boat. I’d recommend a later time (we did 15.55) to avoid the coach parties. Our skipper/guide gave a nice commentary. We had a full 2 hours on the boat. Felt like good value - would recommend!
