Full description

Take on an unforgettable sea kayaking adventure to the Medes Islands, one of the principal marine flora and fauna reserves in the Western Mediterranean. Paddle to unique spots only reachable by kayak and have a swim in Costa Brava’s crystal waters. Meet at the local tour partner's shop, where your guide will welcome you and give you the necessary equipment for this activity. After a safety and technical briefing, climb aboard your kayak and follow your guide to this beautiful natural reserve. Kayak across the seven islands and enjoy unique picturesque views of the whole bay while you learn about the flora and fauna of this protected area. Before heading back, cool off with a refreshing swim, and marvel at the unique marine life on the seabed. You will be accompanied by the guide at all times and assisted by a boat which will tow you in case you need it.

For parking, you have different options: you can pay for parking at the meeting point; you can also park in the blue zone throughout the town, at all the town; when you arrive at the beach of Estartit, you will find a sand-free parking. From there, walk 10 minutes in the direction of the harbor until you arrive at our meeting point.

The kayak activity to the Medes Islands is spectacular. Keep in mind that they are just over 2 hours non-stop paddling in the open sea, so it is a tiring activity. I recommend wearing goggles or a diving mask to be able to observe the seabed on the islands, it is spectacular. The very nice and funny guide. A 10 in attention from workers.

Me and my son had a great time. The location was a bit hard to find and we got there slightly after the 9 am start but with the number of people there it was not a problem and the whole event was no stress at all. I am a bit oversized compared to the average and they were quick to accommodate me and make sure I had the right equipment. The guides were friendly, made wonderful and clear explanations in multiple languages and were able to handle a large group safely and ensure everyone had fun. It was the perfect way to get up close to the islands, have a swim (we brought our masks with us) and get a bit of sun and exercise in. I would certainly recommend it and even repeat it again if I return there.
