This was a great tour. Our guide, Max, was really helpful and informative about the volcano and the views from the top were incredible. It is not an easy hike if you’re a bit out of shape (like me) - it’s not too steep but the loose lava gravel underfoot makes it feel like climbing through sand at times. It’s well worth the effort though!

Very good experience! Arrived at the top of the cable car we started the hike around 10 am, through the various craters. We took a break around noon for a picnic (you can buy something to eat at the refuge at the bottom of the cable car if necessary, before leaving) and left for a 1h45 walk. The guide adapts to all levels, the hike is not technical but you still need to be in good physical condition. The excursion is really very beautiful, I recommend. Even if our English-speaking guide was very good, I regret not having had more explanations / anecdotes on volcanoes (beware, he did give some!), Or even on his experience around volcanoes. We were 2 groups of 15 to follow each other (each with a guide), which still made a large group in the end. You have to add 30 € per person for the cable car, to be paid in cash in the morning. Overall it was a good experience, I recommend.

Funny, knowledgeable, and easy going guides took us on a wonderful hike up the volcano. We were never concerned about safety or pushing the limits. Max did an incredible job navigating the terrain and explaining every feature we encountered! Super easy to book and clear instructions were sent to us before arrival.
