Really great guide: Birgir...or Bigeo. Everything ran v smoothly from the meet point and great depth of knowledge of all areas including the history of Iceland. Great sense.of humour too. Plenty of stops for rest rooms and snacks/drinks but you can bring your own. Dress appropriately. Some people.wore trainers which in snow/ice not great! Bring a swim costume but no need for a towel as they are provided at the lagoon. Definitely do the lagoon as well as a whole day tour.

I gave this a good 4 star because we were in winter and not summer, but it really should have been a excellent 5 star ... the weather was what it was, we were to cold and wet to enjoy the golden circle trip fully but that was what it was.. we grabbed our pics and ran for shelter but then againthat was also an experience! .but the tour guide was amazing, very knowledge and extremely nice and the blue lagoon at the end was also amazing and so warm even in the cold night, took the cold out of your bones but not enough time to do that,by the time you arrived, dress , swam, etc dressed again and tried to shop for it not enoughtimeat all! , but again it is a winter trip. I'd recommend doing this combo in spring /summer . And just doing the blue lagoon in the winter on its own.... but was well worth it for people like me who love the geology or a once off trip Then the combination in winter is worth it. Totally worth it even though it was November.. all in we loved it, now we're warm
