This tour was awesome, my partner and I had such a great day with the guides and the other people in the group. The guides clearly have a wealth of knowledge and a passion for what they do. Never thought I would be sliding down the side of a volcano on my butt! I would say to anybody doing this tour in winter, bring waterproof trousers or ski pants or similar, or you’ll get a soggy butt (worth it though if you do) and heed what they say about spare socks (I didn’t). Highly recommend this tour to anyone who really wants to get a feel for the mountain rather than just looking up it from Catania. Thanks to them for an amazing day.

It was a great experience and a very well organized tour with kind guides (Allesandro and Ernesto) that enlightened us with a lot of interesting information! We had been lucky that it was sunny and there was a lot of snow on Etna in Feb 23 what made the area more interesting and varied and and the hike even a bit adventureous, as we trudged over snow fields, then again sat in the black desert round the caldera and finally slid down the slope on our bottoms :)

I can’t begin to try to explain how much I enjoyed this tour! From the first second of meeting our guide Alessandro and 7 other fellow travelers, till the last goodbyes, I was amazed by the beauty and richness of the Etna’s wonders. Alessandro picked us up from the city center and on the way to the Vulcano shared some interesting facts about Catania and the whole region. After arriving at the starting point Alessandro lent us some trekking shoes and polls which definitely helped a lot in hiking. Overall the tour was a long one, but the last view was absolutely worth it. And for sure I would be very hesitant to hike so far up just by myself. It is most definitely the best trip I have had in a while. 5 (but could give 100) stars to Alessandro for keeping our company, answering all the questions, and sharing his passion with us <3.
