Even though this was only a 1hr long tour it’s was packed full of information , the guide was very knowledgeable easy to hear and friendly.I would recommend taking the tour as after it finishes your left to do as you want browse and even climb to the top of the dome.

Very interesting tour with a very knowledgeable guide (Victoria I think). It was well worth paying to be fast tracked to the front of the queue. Our guide was friendly and happy to answer all questions and you can stay in the Duomo after the tour for as long as you want, so we were able to go back and look at things again, feeling that we had a little bit of knowledge about them.

The instructions to meet our guide were clear. The greeters were friendly. Our guide gave a clear introduction to the history of the cathedral and baptistery which we walked by to join the ‘skip the line queue’. After queueing for a little while (it was a busy day) we eventually entered the cathedral. Our guide gave explanations of items inside which we may have missed on our own. Overall, a satisfactory tour as I wouldn’t have wanted to wait in the regular queues which wrapped around half the cathedral even though we were travelling in winter/low season.
