Full description
Explore 2 of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks on a comprehensive tour of the Sagrada Familia and Parc Güell. Start at the Sagrada Familia cathedral in the 19th-century extension of the L’Eixample, and admire the contrasting façades of Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece. Go inside the basilica to look up at the towering spires. See models of what the cathedral would look like when completed, as imagined by Gaudi, and learn the history and symbolism of the depictions of the Holy Family as an expression of Christian ideology on the elaborate Nativity and Passion façades. Then travel to Parc Güell Park on Carmel Hill in the north of the city to admire some of Antoni Gaudi’s finest handiwork. Marvel at the Art Nouveau (Modernisme) motifs of its main highlights, such as the mosaic tiles of the salamander statue (“El Drac”) at the park entrance. You will then have 1.5-hour to yourself so you can have lunch.

This was great!!! It was helpful to have both with the transport included. Very well done. Our first guide at the church, she was awesome but can’t recall her name. She was very engaging with everyone. The 2nd guide at the park, Raul, he helped understand what it was like to grow up when the park was not an attraction and families/locals came to just visit and play. The whole day was worth it

First, these are two ‘must see’ places in Barcelona…but be ready for BIG crowds. As with many other reviews, we had problems finding our tour guide - the meeting point is by the subway exit but the guides do not have flags. Look for guides wearing name tags…but most importantly, note the name of the ‘Tour provider’ at the top of the page…ours was Amigo…I finally saw a tiny lady holding the small sign in her hands. Very knowledgeable tour guides but their Spanish accents might be difficult for some. Also, pay attention to the title at the top of the page…this tour did not include the tower as we had hoped (we paid 10Euros and barely made the last ride up at 11am). The tower is not all it’s made out to be. You get to see the city from numerous points, way up high, but they are tiny rooms with small caged windows. There are 400 stairs to go down…very small, winding stairwell. I highly recommend you arrange for transportation to Parc Guell. It is too far to walk(2.7 km)…all uphill!

The places are fantastic, the guide has a lot of knowledge of Gaudí and his works, but it does seem to me that they are very MESSY in terms of the meeting points, in the first place they NEVER carry any flag to the meeting, and worse still, after locating the guide and meet in a few minutes on the sidewalk in front, they went directly to the door and I didn't see them approach, I looked for my guide and I didn't see her. Then I had to ask another person if he knew where it was, until I recognized someone from the group that I had already seen and on the other hand, this other person told me that the guide would be inside managing the entrance of the group. But the way is NOT GOOD at all, and even less so that I had to worry about gathering information that does not correspond.
