After being collected from our hotel, we travelled North towards Nandi Hills, stopping for breakfast on the way. We continued on to Nandi Hills, and spent a few hours exploring the beautiful location. Our guide Raghu was very friendly and knowledgeable. We then returned to the city and were taken to a restaurant for a traditional lunch, served on a fresh banana leaf. Our guide was super helpful in arranging everything for us, so we could just enjoy. We also had a driver for the whole day, so the driver could drop us and the guide at each location, and collect us when we were ready.

Long car drive, short sightseeing.

The trip would be more enjoyable if we could just hire a driver and make our own time schedule. The place was crowded and we spent lot of time in the traffic jam, so there was only little time left to spend looking around the place. The tour guide was polite, but despite our several attempts to refuse to do any shopping, he still made us to stop in a local souvenirs shop - which he explained as a stop at a museum of Hindu gods. Which was both - insulting our intelligence and annoying at the same time.
