    Discover Taroudant on this half-day tour from Agadir. On the journey you’ll drive through the fertile Souss Valley, passing banana and citrus fruit plantations. Enjoy a local brunch of freshly squeezed orange juice, mint tea, and Moroccan pastries (not available during the Ramadan). Admire the 11th-century ramparts and the five monumental gates of Taroudant. Then head into the hustle and bustle of Taroudant's myriad streets, and explore the busy square of Place Assarag in the heart of the city. Enjoy a guided tour of the souks where traditional crafts are on display featuring silver jewelry, leather, engraved limestone, saffron, spices, and Argan oil. You’ll have free time to wander around and explore the area on your own, plus there's time to enjoy a refreshing mint tea before leaving Taroudant.     An individual ride with Farid!

    We were lucky and drove alone with Farid to Taroudant, the little Marrakech. He told us a lot of interesting information about the country and its people and also responded to individual requests (photo shoot with the well-known goats on the tree). The ride was very nice overall, Farid was a good tour guide. We recommend!

    Enlightening taste of the real morocco

    We drove about 90mins to Taroudant,and actually saw goats in the argan trees and camels roaming the fields eating the leaves! Mohammed took us round the Palace,which is now a bijou hotel.Fabulously authentic.We bought coffees in the garden Mohammed threaded us thro both Beeber and Arabic markets , which were totally not touristy.Saw artisans and blacksmiths at work.Not sure about the brunch mentioned in the description tho...we didnt get that. Very good trip which you wouldnt get as much out of alone.

    An authentic taste of Morocco.

    This trip of 4 hours was the cornerstone of our holiday. 30 minutes from our hotel, we stopped by the roadside to see a herd of goats living in a tree, and the goat-herder move them on to the next one with a whistle. We explored private courtyards in ancient Taroudant and learned how the walls were built (what are those holes for?). We walked through a Berber market with no sign of tourism or tourists - the stalls sold spices and basic foodstuffs, raw cloth and handmade footwear; not a tourist gift wooden camel in sight. We ended our stay in a palace-turned-hotel for drinks in lush gardens. Many thanks to our erudite guide, Mohammed, who was knowledgeable about our tour and Morocco in general, and who made possible a trip into properly authentic Morocco that 4 naïve tourists would not otherwise experience.
