Relax on the deck as you await your flight’s departure, then follow your pilot guide to the aircraft and listen to a short safety briefing. Board your single-engine, high-wing plane, where everyone gets a window seat to make the most of the views, as well as a personal headset to listen to your guide’s expert narration. Then it’s time to hit the skies for an awe-inspiring one-hour flight amongst the jagged peaks and glaciers on the southern side of the Alaska Range. Upon entering the Alaska Range, head up the Tokisitna Glacier before heading west to view the impressive 44-mile (71 km) long Kahiltna Glacier, the longest in Denali National Park. During early parts of the summer, you can spot mountain climbers camping at Kahiltna Base Camp and perhaps ascending to the summit. The flight will then head east behind Mt. Huntington passing the south face of the majestic Denali, the tallest mountain in North America (20,310 feet or 6,190 meters) as well as Mt. Foraker (17,402 feet or 5,304 meters) and Mt. Fly from Knik River Valley, a scenic 1-hour drive north of Anchorage (transfers available for purchase), to the spectacular Knik Glacier. Soar over the beautiful valley and search the landscape for local wildlife, including moose, mountain goats, bands of Dall Sheep, and bears. After the dogsled tour, meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, listen to stories about running sled dog races of over a 1,000 miles long, meet the puppies and take pictures with your favorite dogs. Fly above the glaciers and mountains of Alaska as you explore the wilderness of Alaska. Touch down and go on a hike with your guide. Look out for the bears in their natural habitat, and depending on the season, watch them eat salmon from the river. Board your plane in Homer and take off on your bush adventure. Then, fly past the glaciers, mountains, and volcanoes. After you land, hike for 3 to 5 miles (4.8 to 8 km) in Katmai National Park and Preserve. Explore the sedge meadows and salmon-filled streams with your naturalist guide. Go to Hallo Bay in the early summer, where the bears eat clams, roots, and grass. If you go in mid-to-late July, visit Moraine Creek to watch the bears catch and eat salmon from the millions of red salmon in the creek.

Explore Brooks Falls, which is part of Katmai National Park, to see the iconic moment of salmon fighting their way upstream, leaping up water falls only to be caught in the jaws of Coastal Brown Bears. Experience an insight into the natural surrounding and day-to-day of the bear and their cubs hunting for food and interacting with each other. Check-in at the office, sign paperwork, and weigh-in. Then get a briefing from office staff to go over current camp platform conditions and bear etiquette. Get on the plane and receive safety briefing from your pilot. Once you arrive from a scenic flight in our float plane, you will be given a safety briefing by Park Rangers at the Visitor's Center. Then you're ready to embark on your adventure through the park at your own pace. The falls where the bears congregate most densely for fishing are an easy mile walk away from the Visitors Center. In addition to watching the bears fish at the falls, you can walk along the beach, and enjoy a hot meal or cup of coffee at Brooks Lodge. Then head back to Homer and deplane.
