Excellent. First time family trying out surfing, ages 11-43. Fantastic. Instructors were brilliant. Very good English and very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed the lessons so much. We were all able to stand at end (well the 3 younger ones were) The instructors took the time out to show everyone in the class what we had to do and what we were doing wrong. Really enjoyable 2 hours and would definitely go back.
It's a perfect surfing lesson for beginners. Raphael is really kind and a great teacher. He tells you how to enjoy the waves so that you don't feel nervous. If you travel to Albufeira, make sure to learn surfing with them! Enjoying the sea with your eyes and experiencing it with your body are completely different dimensions.
I was the only person to sign up for the class on a chilly winter morning. Surprisingly, the instructor did not cancel and I ended up getting a private lesson with the whole beach to myself. The instructor was really friendly and constructive with feedback to help me improve my technique
