Alcudia: Dinosaurland and Hams' Caves Half-Day Trip

1. Alcudia: Dinosaurland and Hams' Caves Half-Day Trip

On this half-day excursion, you will have the opportunity to explore Dinosaurland and the Caves of Hams. Dinosaurland is Mallorca's new theme park that will amaze the whole family. It has 100 dinosaurs on site of 40 different species, some of them even move and make sounds! The park offers a 15-minute children's show, performed simultaneously in Spanish and English. There are also play areas, such as the archaeology sector, for the little ones to explore. There is also a bar there with the prehistoric world vibe and a souvenir shop. The visit to the park is a self-guided tour of approximately one and a half hours. Afterwards, at the time arranged by the organisation, you will visit the Caves of Hams; the first caves to open to the public in 1910 and located in a privileged natural environment. You will enjoy a tour accompanied by an informative audio device about the origin and formation of the caves, which is available in several languages. The visit lasts approximately one hour and ends with a musical projection on the lake of Venice.

Mallorca: Caves of Hams Guided Tour

2. Mallorca: Caves of Hams Guided Tour

This half day excursion to the Caves of Hams has been especially thought out for those who simply don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of visiting the spectacular Porto Cristo Caves but have limited time on the island or would just rather spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool soaking up the sun. Once we have everybody on board our air conditioned coach, we will make our way inland and drive through the beautiful countryside towards the East Coast, where the Caves of Hams are located and where you will discover one of Mallorca's most important attractions. The visit inside the caves has a duration of approximately one hour. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as you find the Blue Cave, with its spectacular new blue lighting using cutting edge led technology, the Round Cave, set in a vast open area with a botanical garden, and the Classic Cave that gives the Caves of Hams their name, "Hams" referring to the peculiar hook-shaped formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Although the Caves of Hams were only discovered in 1905, they say that they have existed for around 10 million years!
