100% must see! Beach is unbelievable and the restaurant food is incredible. I would advise looking at the logistics of getting to the Marina where the boat picks you up we assumed it would be an easy trip, but the buses to the area stop around 5.45pm which is quite early depending on what time you catch the boat, we ended up asking our hotel (in Albufeira) to arrange transport for us it was €37 each way and a 45 min journey, but was totally worth it as we spent the whole day there. I would recommend staying for the day as it is beautiful and I’d be surprised if anyone would be in a hurry to leave, we packed drinks as there is nothing but the restaurant there which is a bit pricey but we did eat our dinner there and have a cheeky sangria which was absolutely divine! If you want to eat at the restaurant book in advance, we were very lucky as when I booked there were only 2 available times for dinner.

The reservation was fast, once on the spot I just show the confirmation number and they printed the ticket for me. Ilha Deserta itself it's amazing...in September it was really like a dessert, which means almost nobody there. If you are looking for a relaxing day on the beach with cristal clear water and white sand, this is your spot! The ride on the catamaran was also an atraction and the staff was very nice, even waited for my friend few minutes as she couldn't find the starting point. Ps: the docking place it's behind the actual port, in front of old city walls. Ps2: Note- there is no shops on the island so take water and all you need. There is a restaurant there ( the only building in the island) but it's a bit pricy, which is understandable considering the location, behind the restaurant there is a snack bar which has more economical version.
