A place of unique natural heritage, the fossil cliffs of Caparica are a “Protected Landscape.” Carved by the fury of the waves and elements of erosion, the coastline receives swells of all kinds. It’s a consistent surf area, offering a variety of waves for all levels of surfing experience. Surf with different sized boards, depending on your skill set. Try different shapes, and discover the most suitable board for you. Full surf equipment and wetsuits are provided, along with optional video footage so you can check out your technique and make any adjustments as needed.

In this experience carried out on one of the magnificent white sand beaches of Costa da Caparica, the basic principles of Surfing, paddling techniques, positioning on the board, stand up and safety techniques will be covered by experienced and fun instructors, in a totally safe and controlled environment for approximately 90 minutes. This will be the perfect way to introduce you to the world of surfing in Portugal. We love the ocean, making people smile and all the great things that Portugal has to offer. Escape the hustle and bustle of Lisbon and get back to nature at the remote beach of Sesimbra. Cross the Tagus River on the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge and then journey on to Ribeira do Cavalo to discover one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Relax on the hard-to-reach beach and go for a swim and snorkel in the sea, if conditions allow. Jump from the rocks if you are feeling brave! Then, head back to Lisbon and stop at the Cristo Rei statue of Christ for amazing views of the city. Look down at the beach and blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. In case of schedule restrictions for accessing the Christ-King square, you will stop at the Viewpoint Boca do Vento next to the Christ-King or at Sesimbra Castle.  

This is a fun, calm and easy going experience that also allows you to learn about sailing, where you grab the helm, help on the maneuvers and/or just relax, meet people, learn history, curious facts and local tips about Lisboa, aboard of a 12 meters sailboat. The two-hour sailing experience have as main route untie from the marina, sailing head to Praça do Comércio (Comercial Square), then turn to Cristo-Rei (King Christ), then to Torre de Belém (Belem Tower) sailing under the 25 de April bridge, and return to the marina passing by Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries). We also offer several difference experiences for group (min 2 and max 11 people). Tailor made tours are also possible but should be arranged in advance (e.g. Beach, Cascais, Team Builing).

Have an expert assess your surfing level on shore to see if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced surfer. Set targets according to the surfer's levels and the conditions of the sea/surf. Practice some technical and specific work according to the group or surfer's level on the sand. Work on the acquisition of skills and the necessary technique to progress in different levels. Get expert instruction from high-quality coaches that know how to work according to the characteristics of the beach, the surf, and the safety rules. Experience a 2 hours Surf lesson in the amazing Sintra beaches. An Experienced Coach will manage a small group with a maximum 5 surfers, each surfer will be included in a group formed according to ages and levels, to make sure all the group evolutes in the same context. All the equipment will also be adapted to your level in order to turn the experience as easier and fun as possible. The beach and time of the lesson can also be adapted to each group, to make sure you can take the best profit of each lesson in a safe un fun experience. If we need to move to a different beach we will take in our van with no extra cost. We are locals from Sintra beaches Praia Grande and Praia das Maçãs, but we are also licenced to Carcavelos and Costa da Caparica. This way we can always have good conditions to all surfers.

Your day begins with a one-hour yoga workshop with a certified instructor who will guide in order to experience deep relaxation through simple movements and repetitions. After stretching and relaxing the body and mind, receive a two-hour surf lesson with all the equipment provided along with video footage so you can check out your technique and make any adjustments as needed. This active tour offers the perfect opportunity to see a beautiful part of Portugal while learning or practicing two healthy and fun activities.

Enjoy bodyboarding at some of the coolest hidden spots with a local surfer. Discover the beautiful Costa da Caparica where the Tejo River flows into the ocean, with a coastline that receives swells of all kinds. Use all required bodyboard equipment and wetsuits provided. Choose the option that includes video footage if you’d like to check out your technique and make any adjustments.

Travel from the Lisbon Zoo, taking in views of the rich coastline and its varied elements along the way to the Costa da Caparica, where the Tejo River (River Tagus) flows into the ocean. You will be provided with surf equipment and meet your instructor before beginning your surf experience.  After surfing take a break and visit a sunny fisherman village. Here, you will be given the opportunity to taste the fresh flavors of the Portuguese fish-based gastronomy. Marvel at the views of the spectacular protected landscapes and historical monuments in Arrábida Natural Park. After, enjoy a wine tasting in a historic cellar in one of the richest wine regions in Portugal, Setúbal.

Surf lessons are taught along the Cascais line of beaches (Torre, Carcavelos, Guincho and Praia Grande), meeting the best conditions and in accordance with the level of each student. All lessons are accompanied by teachers accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and have a duration of 2 hours consisting of a theoretical part, general and specific warm-up, main part (surf) and stretches. Lessons include all materials (wetsuit, surfboard and leash) as well as personal accident insurance.
