In the vicinity of the port of La Ragua, at 1,700 meters above sea level, in the heart of the P. Nacional Sierra Nevada, is the Arroyo del Palancón. Alpine ravine excavated in typical Sierra Nevada slate and schist, the black of its rock contrasts with the green of the mosses and ferns. After enjoying a nice meal in any of the many picnic areas nearby, only 5 minutes separate you from the beginning of this ravine. The course is suitable for all types of visitors and especially for the little ones. Its duration of between 2.5 and 3 hours, its easy approach and return, and its hilarious slides make it the most fun and comfortable way to beat the summer heat of the Guadix, Baza, and Alpujarra Almeria region.

Discover one of Europe's richest botanical enclaves, through picturesque villages and a breathtaking mountain landscape. La Alpujarra is an extensive valley running across the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada and the mountains of the Contraviesa Lújar, the Mediterranean coast and the Sierra de Gador. White buildings pepper the rugged terrain, matching the snow-capped peaks down amid the lush foliage. The first stop is the 19th-century town of Lanjarón, where you'll follow the flowing waters to Orgiva, the crossroads of the region and capital of La Alpujarra. From here continue through the magical towns of Caratuñas, Pampaneira, Pitres and Trevélez, the highest village in Spain, famous for its exquisite Iberian hams. Then, drive into the heart of the charming and picturesque villages of Bubion and Capileira, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views and a traditional lunch if you choose this option.

Begin by heading south towards Lanjarón, the first city of the Alpujarra region. The route will continue through impressive landscapes until reaching Pampaneira, one of the highest cities in Spain and Europe. Here, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Poqueira Valley and take the most incredible photographs. After visiting this town, descend to Bubión, a city founded in Roman times, where you can walk through narrow streets and white houses. Then, your group will follow the route to Capileira, one of the most picturesque villages of La Alpujarra and Andalusia. Visit the interpretation center where a professional will explain everything you've seen on this excursion. Finally, visit a typical working house in the Alpujarra, where you will learn about the methods of production and their way of life.

Embark on a full-day trip to Trevélez, the highest town in the Alpujarras, and discover the ham curing process with a tour and tasting inside a factory. Have lunch at an Alpujarran restaurant before visiting the village of Pampaneira. Start with a pickup in downtown Granada and a drive towards Lanjarón. First, stop at the historic Nasrid Bridge of Tablate to gain an understanding of the relationship between the Moriscos and Alpujarra. Next, find a unique viewpoint from where you can contemplate the Poqueira Valley, the Guadalfeo Valley, and the Sierra Nevada while taking memorable photos. Sample the mineral-rich fresh cold water from the Fuente Agria Spring. Admire the stunning Chorrerón waterfalls before discovering the ham curing process inside a factory in Trevélez followed by a tasting. Experience the traditional gastronomy and an Alpujarran lunch. On the way back to Granada, pass through impressive landscapes and visit Pampaneira.

Set off on a hiking adventure to climb every peak above 3000 meters, 10000 feet, in the Sierra Nevada National Park, the 2nd highest mountain range in Europe. Discover the stunning mountainous landscape with glacial lakes and admire unparalleled views of the Meditteranean during your 4-day trek. Start your adventure in the nice village of Jerez del Marquesado from where you will drive to Postero Alto mountain hut and start the trekking journey. Climb Picón de Jerez, Tajos Negros, Puntal de los Cuartos, and Vacares, before resting in your sleeping bag at Lagunas de las Calderetas, a beautiful little glacial lake with pristine waters at 3000 meters of elevation. On the second day, conquer the Alcazaba peak, and then the Mulhacen peak, the highest in the Sierra Nevada range at 3482 meters above sea level, with incredible views of the Mediterranean sea and even Africa from the summit. Spend the night by Laguna de la Caldera, one of the largest lakes in the Sierra Nevada. On the third day, climb Cerro de los Machos and Pico del Veleta, before sleeping by the Lagunillos de la Virgen, another beautiful small glacial lake. On the last day, hike the ridge of Tajos de la Virgen, and climb Elorrieta, Cartujo, Tajos Altos, and Caballo. After 2 hours of walking, you will be picked up by 4x4 jeep to return back to Granada city.
