Full description

Immerse yourself in the culture of the Netherlands on a tour through the jewels of the Dutch countryside. Visit a cheese producer, a clog factory, a fishing village, and see the iconic windmills.

Start your tour at Amsterdam’s Central Station and head in the company of your guide to the first destination of the day, Zaanse Schans. Admire the typical Dutch windmills of the town, and learn about how they are still used today.

Next, drive to the Waterland area to arrive at the second stop of the tour, Edam. Walk around some of the town’s most historical sites, including the town square where the famous cheese market used to take place.

Then, head to Volendam to visit a local cheese producer, learn about the production of Edam and Gouda cheeses, and try a cheese tasting. Head towards a clog factory next to discover the secrets of this typical Dutch shoe.

Finally, travel back in time to the 17th century as you wander through the fishermen’s houses in the Marken, and explore this quintessential fishing village.

Great experience so many places in Just 6 hours.Totally worth it.Laura was really friendly and explained everything. I would Not recommend IT though in the Winter because in the morning IT was really cold and the Tour has some Walking and Standing outside.

Our tour guide Rob was really what made this tour brilliant. The little insights he provided into the Dutch culture and history as we made our way through the stops was really great. The cheese and clog factory were by far my favourite of the day! 10/10 worth the time and money!

This day trip has to be the highlight of my weekend trip to Amsterdam. The villages visited are so cute, pretty and made my soul happy. Rob, our guide was amazing. I listened to each and every words of him and he is the best guide so far! He is super sweet to talk to everyone and clarifies any doubts or questions. The experience was amazing. The people at the cheese tasting and clogs workshop are so warm and sweet. They are like straight out of any theatre or play. The cheese tasted delicious. The stroopwafel was super yummy too, I am typing these as I am munching the stroopwafel and wishing I have picked more of stroopwafel from that shop.
