Full description
Hippie, stoner, and pothead are all negative stereotypes of ganja smokers that aren’t part of the marijuana culture in Amsterdam. Get an insight into the coffee shop culture and ganja scene in Amsterdam on a 3-hour private walking tour. Your guided tour begins outside the legendary Dam Palace, as you start your exciting introduction to the local world of cannabis at one of the oldest coffee shops in Amsterdam. Your guide will lead you through the streets of the city, to famous coffee shops, pubs, and secret medieval sites on the way (rest assured, all locations have passed the tour operator's quality check). Visit 3 coffee shops and a great Irish pub (O reilly's), walk down the legendary gay street Reguliersdwarsstraat, learn about history and drug policies, and explore the menus and samples from a few of the shops. Your tour will end near the Rembrandtplein. As a current resident of Amsterdam, your private guide is super knowledgeable about the best ganja finds in Amsterdam – so don't be shy to ask!

Nice experience!

With the tour "Private Ganja Tour to Coffee Shops" you gave us great pleasure. On average over 75 years old, we were able to remember our hippie days. Thanks to Sofia, who, from today's perspective, informed us, expertly shot our joints and told us a lot of interesting things about the architecture and culture of the city and the former drug scene. We are coming back to Amsterdam and we want Sofia again as a companion for this tour. We 14 participants, like all of our daughters, have taken you to heart. Thank you for this nice experience.

Not just about the marijuana, you also learn about the city.

I had Chris as a guide, and he was great. He was relatively new to guiding, but he didn't show it. He did a great job explains the rules, the history and the process of marijuana in Amsterdam. He also makes sure you are experiencing the best tour for you whether you are a novice or a regular smoker like I am. My girlfriend doesn't like smoking much because it ruins her voice and he was nice enough to find a place with vaporizers for her to enjoy the tour as well. Chris and Erik's tour was the first thing we did and if I were you I would follow suit and book this!!

Interesting & Informative fun afternoon

Me & my fiancé booked this as a way to experience Amsterdam in a fun & safe way and we got everything we wanted and more! Our tour guide Eric was an absolute gent, he told us lots about the history of Amsterdam and of course showed us some of the best coffee shops in Amsterdam, keeping us away from the typical tourist spots. However, this was so much more than just a coffee shop tour...Eric helped us to understand the culture of Amsterdam, we got to try some local cuisine and had great fun doing it. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
