The Annapurna Circuit Trek is still without doubt one of the best treks anywhere in the world, despite inroads being developed in the region. It is a trek of diverse culture that starts in the lush fields of Hindu farmers and takes you through one of the strongest Buddhist regions in Nepal, which is very similar to Tibet. The complete circuit starting from Besisahar takes between 18 and 21 days. Over the last few years, access to each of the major valleys that cut through the Himalayas to the east and west of the Annapurna Massif improves each year, as more sections of Jeep road are completed. Throughout your experience, your guides will make every effort to take this into account, allowing you to avoid hiking on the road as much as you can. Nowadays many people trekking the route choose to fly back to Pokhara from Jomsom or take a jeep to Baglung and a bus back to Pokhara. It is spectacular on a clear day, and awards views of the neighboring peaks around you. The full circuit will see you continue on past Jomsom to take a jeep ride for a day to Tatopani and the hot springs. There you can relax before continuing on to Ghorepani and Poon Hill, a part of the trek which has no road. Whatever you choose you will have climbed over the Annapurna Massif, lapped up more culture than you can imagine, and trekked through one of the most beautiful valleys anywhere in the world. I gave 5-stars to support our guide who was amazing and extremely accommodating. That being said, I do not feel that this tour was listed accurately as a beginner tour with the expectation of climbing up multiple mountains and over three hours of ascent. That being said there were Nepali elderly and children on our trek so I understand why there might have been confusion. This tour, coming from someone who is newer to hiking and lives at sea-level, was advanced and as such, we had to end our trip a full day early as we physically could not proceed further in a reasonably safe manner. Our guide was extremely helpful in helping us return to Pokhara due to these limitations a day ahead of schedule.

Great experience! Mohor was our guide and he really took care of us the entire trip. The hike was achievable for beginner hikers. Amazing view at Poon hill, great food along the way and great hike. Recommend for anyone who just wants a short hike and has limited time.

Padam was my guide during this trip. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about any questions I had. The accomodation is lovely and Poon Hill is definitely an amazing short trek to see whilst in Pokhara! Worth the experience :)

Thangka, my guide, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very accommodating. Allowed the pace that was comfortable and enjoyable. They views at Poon Hill were amazing. Definitely recommend
