Feel the wind on your face while going to places no other tourists go on this guided buggy tour in the Atacama Desert. Drive-up thrilling trails with your expert local guide, and be entertained and informed by their extensive knowledge of the area. Begin your tour with pickup from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama. From there, drive to the local partner's headquarters with your guide. Once there, listen to a safety lecture and suit up in a helmet, gloves, and glasses. Have a look at a map to understand where the activity will place and find out the itinerary through the desert, the salt mountain range, and two archeological sites. Then, let the fun begin: Set off on your approximately 50-kilometer (31-mile) buggy adventure through the Atacama Desert. Tackle a variety of terrains like riverbed crossings, steep mountain climbs, and beautiful sand dunes. Make the most of the opportunity to take pictures of pristine Atacama with no other tourists in tow. During the tour, there will be 3 different main stops along the way to share information and take pictures. At the end of the buggy tour, you'll return to the headquarters before being dropped off at your accommodation.

Our tour begins at 07:00 AM picking up all our passengers at their respective hotels. After this we go to Yerbas Buenas, where we can see the Domeyko Mountain Range, the Salt Mountain Range and the Andes Mountain Range. In this first stop we visit petroglyphs, some of them up to 6000 years old. Enjoying the beautiful view of this beautiful landscape, we have breakfast and prepare to enter our main destination, the rainbow valley, located in the Domeyko mountain range and where you can see hills with colored stripes, all this due to the clay and also the minerals found in that place. Later we visit Río Grande, a small town of artisans and farmers, thus setting the end of our tour, returning to the town is around 12:30 PM.

Once at the entrance of the canyon, learn the rappel technique from your mountaineering guide. Advance through obstacles using different techniques with only the help of your body, ropes, and climbing equipment. Begin to rappel down the waterfalls and cliffs, jumping off of rocks of different heights into pools of pure water. Explore different canyons in the middle of extreme scenery worth photographing. Finally, take a break at the beach of the waterfalls and walk back to the starting point.

5. From La Paz: 5-Day Death Road & Uyuni Salt Flats Bike Tour

First Day - - The mountain biking starts early in the morning at 7:30 a.m. from the meeting point, guide will pick you up. Leg 1: This is a 22 km downhill on asphalt (tarmac) road. At the police checkpoint (after 45 min.) all visitors pay Bs. 50 for the entrance to the national park. This first section is for you to develop confidence and get used to the bike. Do not worry, the safety van is always behind the group and we have stops for water, photos, and bike checks. Leg2: “Death Road” about 10 Km. always in a compact group (safety first!!!) and also snack time. Leg 3: About 32 Km. it starts with a waterfall splash!! Finally, the end of the tour is in Yolosa, so the next stop is in a hotel with showers, a swimming pool, and a buffet lunch as well. At approximately 05:00 p.m. it´s time to go back to La Paz driving through the new road. At the final of the "Death Road Tour" the guide will drop off you at the Bus Office (La Paz to Uyuni). Bring your bags with you because you won't return to your hotel. Bus departs at 9:00 p.m. Second Day - - Arrive in Uyuni City at 7:30 a.m. then go to our office - 1 block near from bus station, Start your tour leaving Uyuni town at 10:30 a.m. from our office. Visit: Train Graveyard, Colchani (salt miners' workshops next to the salt flats), handicrafts made of salt, and textile art made of llama and alpaca fiber. Next, “Ojos de Agua Salada”, a hotel museum made completely of salt, Flags of the World, Dakar Monument, and Isla Incahuasi. Then, make sure you and your group pose for some fun perspective- and proportion-distorted photos, taken against the backdrop of the striking white surface of the salt flats. At to end of the day, head to an open, spacious area for the unique experience of seeing a beautiful sunset, spreading its dazzling colors all over the salt flats, and finally, arrive at Ajencha town to have dinner and night stay in the hotel. Third Day - - Start off at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast. Then visit Chiguana Desert, Ollagüe, the rocky road “El Pasito Tuntun”, the famous: Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota Lagoons in which flamingoes can be seen. Finally in the day, enter “Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve”, where you can see Desert of Siloli, Rock tree, and the immense Red Lagoon to see more pink flamingos in their natural habitat. Stay the night at a hotel in Huayllajara. Fourth Day - - Get off to an early start around 5:00 a.m. to visit: Sol de Mañana Geyser, a bath in Hot Springs Polques, Dali Desert, Green Lagoon, and White Lagoon on the foot of Licancabur volcano. Then, return to Uyuni town. Arrive at the Bus Todo Turismo 8:30 p.m. Fifth Day - - Arrive at La Paz city at 6:30 a.m. The finish point of the tour: Bus Station La Paz City

Discover the most active volcano in northern Chile with this hiking day trip from San Pedro de Atacama to the top of the Láscar volcano. Admire the views from 5590 meters above sea level and see smoking fumaroles. Enjoy the convenience of being picked up from the comfort of your accommodation in Pedro de Atacama. Sit back and relax on the air conditioned drive in an all terrain vehicle. Stop to purchase breakfast and pass through the towns of Toconao and Talabre. Arrive at the base of the Láscar volcano. Look up at its smoking crater as you drive to an altitude of 4,600 meters. Put on your helmet and pick up your walking stick. Get a safety briefing from your guide before beginning your ascent to the 300-meter deep crater. See endemic fauna and a blue altiplanic lagoon surrounded by salt on your tour. Get picked up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama in the morning, at a time to be determined by the weather conditions in the Andes mountain range. Drive towards the Paso Jama route, where you will make your first stop at a viewpoint close to the Licancabus Volcano at 12,800 feet above sea level. At the stop, there will be time for photos and to enjoy a light breakfast and a hot drink after a 15-minute warm-up activity. Continue toward the top of Cerro Toco, until reaching the highest point of around 17,000 feet. Here, your guides will give you a safety briefing and get you kitted out in your gear. Hop aboard your professional bike after having it adjusted to your specific needs. Then, the real fun begins as you head down a 15-mile descent on a circuit consisting of mixed landscapes.  Cruise through dirt, rocks, and compact terrain throughout the course, while always accompanied by professional guides. If you'd like, stop for breaks to catch your breath and check out the scenery. At the end of the experience, you will be greeted with a cold drink typical of Chile before returning to San Pedro de Atacama.
