The trip to the top of mount Hoher Kaster was spectacular! The view breathtaking. Appelzel is a picturesque small town with freshly baked goods, nice liquors and great chocolate, though very expensive. We tasted bits of organic cheese and chocolate and visited an organic farm. The guide, Monica was very friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable. Nevertheless, I found the whole tour exorbitantly expensive.

Great trip around the Appenzell region highlighting the sights, people and history there. Konrad was a great guide to take us through - his knowledge, experience and his personal touch helped make this such a positive part of our trip.

Appenzell is beautiful.

We did not expect to just go to a chocolate store. That was disappointing. The cheese factory was really good and highlight was are very friendly and capable tour guide, Evelyn. The tour of the town was wonderful.
