Definitely a great experience that I would recommend to other travelers to Florence for the first time. My wife loves kayaking and boat excursions, so I thought it would be a nice idea to get this experience going down the Arno. It is unlike any experience walking on the streets, as you get to see the city from an entirely different perspective. Our guide was very nice and spoke in perfect English. She brought 2 bottles of wine to share between the 8 or so passengers, so that was a great little touch as well. She explained about the different buildings as well as the history and stories behind many of them. Our ride started at 6pm, so it was great to start in the light and end during sunset. It is not a long ride (1 hour), which was perfect for us, as we had many things to see and dinner reservations. Overall, I highly recommend this experience.
