Wonderful tour of the Acropolis!! Due to the marathon, the city bus tour was canceled and we did a tour of the Acropolis museum and historic Plaka. All are must see things to do while visiting Athens! The tour company, Keys, did a great job in communicating the plan from I booked the tour and when the marathon affected the itinerary, they quickly alerted me via email with the changes which turned out to be wonderful substitutes. I actually enjoyed doing all the extra walking to the sites. The guide (think Irene) was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to the needs of tour participants.

Very informative tour with drive-by of many interesting landmarks and historical buildings. You need to grab a window seat on the bus to have an opportunity to get a decent photo. Tour does stop at the historic Olympic stadium and you will also have the opportunity to walk up the hill to the Acropolis. Expect a lot of people to be there. Wear good walking shoes (not sandals), a hat and brink a bottle of water.

Overall it’s a nice 4/5, there were explanations on each building on the Acropolis site, the downside is the guide’s voice was not really loud although she tried to scream for everybody to hear, but the noise of other people’s around was just too loud. Other than that, we got down basically at the panathenaic stadium & Acropolis site, the rest was just explanations from inside the bus.
