We had an excellent experience watching this charming funny performance. Staged on an Athenian rooftop in the shadow of the Acropolis and with incredible views, we enjoyed a tour through six ancient Greek plays. A wonderful way to enjoy ancient Greek culture in English. Highly recommended.

It was a good evening spent. Great experience watching Greek mask performance. Although there's only a total of 4 actors, they played all characters well, even acting as women! Watching it under the Acropolis in open air makes the experience extra special.

When the backdrop is the Acropolis you can’t go too far wrong with a production of ancient Greek myths and legends. Four men, mostly masked, play all the roles covering Odysseus & the Cyclops, Antigone, Lysistrata, Medea, Prometheus, et al. The scenes ranged from straight from the plays to musical theatre. From the sounds around me, the camped up musical theatre, played for laughs, went down a treat but for me Medea and Antigone (& Ismene) were particularly powerful, along with Prometheus. Medea, anchored by strips of black lace/scrim, played ‘her’ lines with authority. I know the lighting is limited, but I felt some side back light could have picked her up better. And I loved the scene from Antigone and Ismene. Both played so well. The point when Antigone lifts her brother’s mask from a lit hole on the stage almost created the best moment in the production. For a brief second both masks were lit. I longed for that instant to linger. The order of the scenes didn’t quite gel.
