Transfer from your hotel or Piraeus Port by luxury, air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz. Enjoy panoramic views on the winding coastal drive of the Athens Riviera. En route to the Temple of Poseidon, pass through the upscale suburbs of Athens, such as Palaio Faliro, Glyfada, and Vouliagmeni. Then, get a breathtaking view of the Saronic Gulf from Laimos. Continue to Lake Vouliagmeni, known for its healing waters. Before your arrival at Cape Sounion, you are free to stop for a swim in the aquamarine waters of the Aegean Sea. Enjoy views of the sea god’s temple as you splash in his waters! Enjoy lunch on the beach at a seafood taverna. Feast on fresh grilled fish or traditional Greek food (own expense). Next, admire the remains of the Temple of Poseidon, constructed between 444 and 440 BC over the ruins of a temple from the Archaic Period. The tour was great. Our driver was very nice, patient, and accommodating. He picked us up an hour early (with a small fee) so that we could spend an hour swimming in Lake Vouliagmeni. He also provided a dinner recommendation on the way to Cape Sounion. If you want more of a "tour guide" along the drive, there may be other more suitable options. However, we were very happy with our trip and he did point out several interesting things along the way.

Markos was very accommodating, on time, and he knows many wonderful little places along the way. He was a great host. We stopped to take fantastic photos. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating, so we couldn't swim in the Aegean, but we were able to take in the coastline sights. We arrived at a good time in the afternoon, had an excellent meal at a place recommended by Markos. As the temple itself is open until sundown, we were able to be there at a time when most tour buses had gone. The views are incredible. Highly recommended.
