We had a wonderful tour around Ubud with our German-speaking guide Janni Wayan, who took a lot of time for us. Janni simply knows everything and was able to provide competent information on every topic (politics, religion, language, and above all nature, etc.) and was always helpful and polite. He knew exactly when we had to be where, so that we were able to admire many spots almost alone (except of course for the heavily touristy destinations such as Monkey Forest). After he found out that my wife and I were studying music, he spontaneously invited us to his family so that we could experience and try out gamelan music. We were able to do another tour with him two days later, which we booked through GetYourGuide. Since we had so much fun with him, we arranged a third private tour with him personally, which also went without any problems. So if you want to know that you are in safe hands, ask for Janni Wayan!

Our guide Ikomang (highly recommended!) took the time to check out all the spots we had chosen for the day tour. Plus he had shown us less touristy places which was super chilled. Booking a private driver is definitely recommended because you are super flexible and don’t have to depend on others. 100% recommendation! :)

Tirta was the best! He is very knowledgeable and flexible and very joyous energy. Although we were in Bali for a few days prior to having Tirta take us around, once we had this opportunity it really felt as though we arrived here. His background and history in hospitality and Bali itself makes Tirta well suited for this position and our needs. 10 out of 10, would recommend
