Our experience was amazing! Our guide, Senegal, took care of us from the beggining till the end, he was very kind and helpful, and also an amazing photographer so we have beautiful photos to remind this magical place. The trail wasn’t too easy but it’s worth all the effort. Senegal brought us a blanket (you can rent up there) because it’s cold when you get on the top. Also he cooked breakfast for us. The eggs were boiled in the steaming of the Vulcano. Incredible, isn’t it? It’s better to go with pants and coats.

The day started with driver Senegall picking me up from my hostel. He was the best, very informative and really made me comfortable during the ride. He also messaged the day before to tell me the time he was picking me up. When we arrived we got some coffe and later I met my guid for the day, Ketut. He was amazing. A real star! Helpful, thoughtful and really nice. I learnd so much about the volcano and also Bali in general from him during the day. He made sure I was okey all the time, and let me take pauses when I needed. It was a hard hike, but so worth it. One of the most spectacular things I have ever Done and seen! Even if it was a cloudy day, the sunrise was stunning, with the colorshades and see the clouds from above. JUST DO IT! The view is worth it!

Picking up at the accommodation worked easily, before the hike we had a coffee. A nice guide took us up the mountain and prepared breakfast at the top. Unfortunately it was too cloudy for sunrise, but the view over the crater and the villages alone was worth it. A highlight are the hot, steaming springs. It is worth it!
