Full description

Scale one of Bali’s natural wonders with a private, early-morning hike up Mount Batur, including breakfast and a trip to a coffee plantation afterwards.  With all entry tickets, accommodation transfers, and an expert local guide also included, the only thing you’ll have to worry about is enjoying the panoramic views.  Begin your ascent at the base of Mount Batur after an early pickup from your accommodation. You’ll even start your jungle trek on an exclusive path with fewer trekkers around. Savor the pristine night sky away from the city lights as you hike. After a 2-hour trek, you’ll then be rewarded at the top with sunrise views over the natural landscape and ocean horizon. And even better, you get to enjoy breakfast at the volcano’s summit.  On the way down you’ll enjoy more vistas, such as Lake Batur, an enormous volcanic crater lake.  You’ll also have the opportunity to stop off for a cup of local Luwak coffee at a coffee plantation before being dropped off back at your accommodation.

This activity was definitely one of my favourites in Bali! Early start to the morning and Dib picked me and a couple up and he got us swiftly to the base of Mt Batur. Definitely glad I brought a few layers of clothing, as it does get cold especially after you’ve cooled down from the hike. Wayan was a great guide, he made sure to take breaks along the way, even though he’s gone up this mountain countless of times. He also took nice photo and made us breakfast which was quite filling! The view was amazing, and fulfilling to have made it up the mountain!

This is a small group private tour. We were picked up from our hotel and later joined with another couple on our way to Mt Batur. It was really cold up in the mountain, but once you get moving you are going to sweat. Wearing layers with a warm jacket would probably be the best. Our driver Wira and guide Kas are absolute legends. Kas made the hike really fun as he kept our spirits high with funny jokes and good-natured banter. He made sure we were going at a reasonable pace and gave us a hand whenever the trail got a bit steep (The majority of the trail is quite hilly and steep). Definitely was not an easy hike up, but the view was spectacular. It was worth it! Light breakfast (bananas, oranges, chocolate bars, boiled eggs and banana sandwiches) were served once we reached the top of the mountain. Make sure you book a day with good weather. Kas also took a lot of amazing photos of us. We really enjoyed the tour!

Definitely not for people with a "light" fitness. The ascent is super steep and has hardly any solid ground. You step every meter into nothing. Hardly possible without a break. There is a beautiful view at the top. The humidity at the top is very high and it is also very cold. It is best to wear long clothes and a rain jacket. Our things were all very damp upstairs. Sunrise was super nice. On the coffee plantation it was also very nice and information. However, you have to pay for the Luwak coffee and it is not included in the price (50,000RP)
