Full description

Skip the lines and delve into the history and work of Picasso with an expert guide. Explore the formative years of Pablo Picasso and discover the genius of the young artist by admiring the 4,251 pieces that make up the permanent collection. Meet the guide at the museum entrance and, after a short explanation, admire the collection and temporary exhibit, providing a thorough chronology of Picasso's development as an artist.

Admire work from his early days in Barcelona through his major later periods, visiting masterworks like "Science and Charity", "Royan", and "Las Meninas", a reinterpretation of the Velazquez painting of the same name. The Picasso Museum, opened in 1963, also reveals the artist's deep relationship with Barcelona: an intimate relationship that was shaped in his youth and continued until his death. The discussion will finish with a focus on Picasso's contemporaries and his lasting influence on the art world. At the end of the tour, the guide will leave you to continue your exploration at your own pace and will be happy to offer recommendations on other sites of interest.

The guide was nice and informative. After the tour I wanted to go back and look at the art closer but wanted to use the restroom first. I was told the bathroom was downstairs but afterwards I could not go back into the museum. I was told that I didn’t get a ticket with my booking. It was really not fair.

Wonderful experience, not overcrowded at least in February. we were able to have chill chat on most interesting topics, heard a lot of new and exciting Picasso life facts. Recommend but just come earlier because for non local bit complicated to find meeting place

Typically, we try to stay away from large tours. But this tour lost its 5 stars because they made us wait over 45 min before we started the tour. To stand around for 45 min hits a nerve. Other than that, the tour guide was really knowledgeable and engaging.
