Great tour, scenery was stunning and our guide was excellent (very informative and also cracking jokes along the way). We got the funicular up the mountain and the hike was all downhill, so nice and easy and suitable for all age ranges. We also had time to appreciate the views and stop for photos. I was travelling solo and everyone on the tour was very friendly and accommodating, so I would also recommend this trip to fellows solo travellers. A tip for other travellers would be to make sure you have a jumper. It’s colder in the mountains and some people on my tour were cold as they didn’t think to bring warm clothing, especially considering it was so hot in Barcelona.

The place and view is absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit! However we felt that there was not enough free time (only about an hour) to truly explore the place and soak in the scenery before having to rush off. Would be better to have more time to explore

Our tour guide was Arturo and he was very knowledgeable about Montserrat and Barcelona. He explained we’d do the basilica first since it closed early in summer. We made good timing on everything and nothing felt rushed. The hike was fun and we had time to explore on our own. He offered recommendations for restaurants and activities in Barcelona, too! Highly recommend. It rained for maybe 15 minutes but it was still beautiful up there.
