The day begins in Castle Combe, which is surely one of the most photographed villages in all of England. Little has changed here since the 15th century - no street lights or TV aerials. This mediaeval gem is famous for its picturesque cottages and babbling brook. Nestled in a wooded Cotswold valley, Castle Combe has been a favourite Hollywood filming location over the years for movies including War Horse, Stardust and Doctor Dolittle. The tour continues through the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty towards Bourton-on-the-Water. This idyllic village is famous for its honey-coloured stone houses and is known as the Venice of the Cotswolds. Enjoy some free time as you wander along the River Windrush with its beautiful low footbridges. Explore the quaint local shops and maybe sample a local beverage. Nearby, Lower Slaughter was named the prettiest village in England in 2021 and it’s easy to see why. A location trapped in time, where wonderful photo opportunities await you amongst flower-draped cottages, romantic footbridges, and an idyllic water mill nestling on the banks of the River Eye. Maybe wander between Lower and Upper Slaughter (weather dependent). This tranquil corner of the Cotswolds countryside is like walking through a painting. Alternatively, enjoy a leisurely lunch in the charming country inn, where you can sample local dishes and maybe treat yourself to a decadent cream tea. Thereafter, your journey continues on towards Tetbury, which is the home town of HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and the Duchess of Cornwall. Discover more about its fascinating history as a market town, famous in the past for the local wool and yarn industry. Pop into some of the fabulous upmarket shops and maybe buy a souvenir from the famous Highgrove Shop. Walk down the Chipping Steps, an old entrance to the town and admire the picturesque weaver’s cottages. The centre of Tetbury is a conservation area and many buildings are hundreds of years old. Admire the architecture and enjoy the rarified feel of this pretty town. Journey back to the delightful Georgian City of Bath, where you will either be dropped off at your accommodation or in the centre of town. This will definitely be a day to remember.

Then, take a seat in your vehicle and relax on the onward journey to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed city of Bath. Make your first stop at the mysterious monument of Stonehenge. As you marvel at these millennia-old standing rocks, learn about the various theories for their function long ago.   Your second stop is Bath, the first city in England to become a UNESCO World Heritage site. See exquisite Roman and Georgian architecture, and tour the famous Roman baths fed by the city's natural hot springs. Then, visit the Pump Room, a neo-classical salon in which you can try a sip of Bath's waters. Next, explore the pretty streets as your private guide sheds light on over 2,000 years of Bath history — from the Roman era to today. Along the way, admire fine examples of Georgian architecture such as the famous 18th-century Royal Crescent. Learn how the city’s thermal waters attracted the Romans and stroll along original Roman streets.  Following your visit to Bath, head back to London to end your eventful day.

After being collected from your door, you’ll learn first hand about the story of Stonehenge and its wider context. You will also have the opportunity to explore quiet, ancient villages and admire the ancient ruin itself. You'll find yourself immersed in the English countryside and enjoying the best of the famed English hospitality. The tour continues with a visit to an ancient country inn, where you have the opportunity to indulge in local cuisine cooked from ingredients fresh from the region. The day will conclude with an authentic cup of English tea in either a walled garden or a 750 year old pub, before you will be transported back to your accommodation in central Bath.

Discover some of the most historic sites in England on a 3-day tour of the southwest, visiting the Roman city of Bath, and center of the Kingdom of Wessex at Exeter. Drive along the preshistoric Jurassic Coast of Dorset, and head into the vast moorland of Dartmoor, a protected national park with exposed granite hilltops. The tour, by comfortable 16-seat minibus, also includes time at Stonehenge, the most famous stone circle in England, and a chance to climb Glastonbury Tor. Day 1: Depart London for the old Kingdom of Wessex en route to the famous Neolithic standing stone circle of Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain. Explore the mystical stones, which continue to confound historians to this day. Next, head for the dramatic south coast of Dorset, enjoying the panoramic views over white sand beaches, and the natural rock arch of Durdle Door. Spend the afternoon on the Jurassic Coast before driving to the historic city of Exeter, which was the most southwesterly fortified settlement of the ancient Roman Empire. You will be based here for the next 2 nights. Day 2: Enjoy a morning exploring the wilderness of Dartmoor, including the ancient "Clapper Bridge" at Postbridge. Go to the market town of Tavistock, where Francis Drake used to live. Return to Exeter in the early afternoon to explore the Roman town’s underground passages and ancient walls. Visit the renovated Royal Albert Memorial Museum to find fascinating sections on zoology, archaeology, anthropology, and fine art. Marvel at the 12th-century Norman Cathedral, which boasts the longest uninterrupted vaulted ceiling in England. Day 3: On your final day, head to Glastonbury and visit Glastonbury Tor. Learn about its connection to Avalon and King Arthur, and climb the Tor for spectacular views across 3 English counties. Drive to the beautiful City of Bath for lunch, with time in the afternoon to explore the relics of its Roman past, including the famous Roman Baths. Admire the handsome Georgian architecture of the city center, and pop into the 7th-century Bath Abbey, noted for its fan vaulting and commemorative stained glass. Return to London for an early evening drop off.
