Full description
Travel north of Berlin by train and take a poignant guided tour of Sachsenhausen Memorial. See the remaining structures, learn of the site’s dark history, and take in emotive memorials dedicated to the camp’s victims. Witness what remains of the facilities that housed the guards, staff, and the prisoners. Enter at guard tower “A” and stand on the registration compound, before seeing the Jewish barracks, boot testing track, and gallows. Continue to the camp’s hospital and pathology laboratory before arriving at the grizzly Station Z building, which contained a crematorium and killing facilities Learn how the camp came to be during Nazi Germany, what conditions were like inside the camp during World War II, and how at last prisoners were liberated at the end of the war. While many of the camp’s stories are grim and heartbreaking, you will also hear inspiring tales of resistance and survival as you walk past commemorative monuments and plaques paying tribute to the camp’s victims and survivors.

      Interesting and impressive

A very important visit to understand how the oppressive strategy towards political opponents and the "different" ones not included in the schemes and logic of the Third Reich began. A long preparatory phase for planning the Holocaust. One of the many places that everyone should visit not to forget how easy it is to fall back into the mistakes of history.

Unfortunately our Guide Miguel was not well presented nor did he provide information in a systematic, easily understandable way. It was obvious he knew a lot about Nazi history etc but he was erratic and did not provide us with an opportunity where we were about to take full advantage of the experience.

This company is a third party. We had our trip cancelled and no one informed us about the cancellation. We waited for 45 mins in a hostel which was the meeting place. We found a guide who was dealing with another tour, we asked where our guide was? They text the person Who was supposed to be taking us and they replied, there was only one person who has booked and I am sick. We then had to find an alternative company who did manage to take us on the trip. I would not recommend using this company.
