Full description
Directly between Gstaad and Les Diablerets lies this well-known and accessible glacier in Switzerland. It's only a 15-minute cable car ride up to almost 3000 meters. Nowhere else can you get up to any Swiss glacier so fast. The panoramic cable car ride alone is itself an adventure. At the top, the view opens up and guests can enjoy no less than 24 peaks over 4000 meters, inclunding the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Matterhorn, and Mont Blanc. This fantastic view can also be enjoyed from the restaurants Botta and Refuge de l'Espace. The best part is this place is open all year-round and it is a unique paradise for excursions. Crossing the Peak Walk by Tissot - a 107-meter long suspension bridge, which is by the way, the only one in the world to connect two peaks - is an adventure within itself. Guaranteed to raise your adrenaline level even higher is a wild glacier ride on the hightest situated toboggan run in the world - the Alpine Coaster. Other top attractions include the dogsled ride, a stroll over the Glacier Walk, or the Snowbus tour. Those who are hungry can enjoy regional specialities and international dishes at Restaurant Botta.

Visiting the glacier is a nice experience, especially the Peak Walk :-). The view from up there is fantastic. We were really lucky with the weather and there were only a few visitors. What I didn't understand, however, is that you had to exchange the tickets bought online at the cash desk. That was not a problem as there was hardly any activity. But when there is more going on ...? But maybe you can then scan the code directly at the turnstile ... who knows.

Spectacular cable car

Beautiful experience at 2971 meters. Two panoramic cable cars suitable for families! Present restaurant and refreshment area to eat on the summit. Peak Walk to try !. Ideal for skiers, direct access to the slopes. Roller coaster closed because it is submerged in snow (20 March). Easy to reach in terms of directions, even if it is a winding road for those who suffer from cars.

Well worth the lengthy train and bus rides. We loved the peak walk, the long-long glacier walk, and we enjoyed the skilifts and view from the top. Definitely recommended. Just make sure you're wearing some heavy clothes and ski-friendly shoes.
