We had the most amazing day on a private tour with our guide Amy and driver Guillermo. Both were incredibly friendly and warm and made the day that much more special. Lake Guatavita is stunning, but be warned, you can’t walk it yourself. You are forced to be part of tour with a tour guide. This is fine if you understand Spanish, but if you don’t, it’s 1 hour of you being forced to listen to something you don’t understand. Amy was helpful with translation during this time, but I still would have much preferred to walk it on my own time and read signs about the history of the area that could be provided in different languages. We were blown away by the Salt Cathedral. It is very impressive and a must to experience.

A wonderful day with Esteban my guide and Solange my driver. We spent the day discovering the wonderful Guatavita lake and the salt cathedral. Solange and Esteban made me feel comfortable, we were like old friends speaking about everything and I learnt so much. Wonderful and much recommended!
