My guide was very knowledgeable and crammed a tremendous amount of information into the 3 hour time. I now know the history of Bologna from the Roman's to the Pagans to The Pope and the Catholics. The old University was very nice, definitely pay the extra 3 euros to go inside the anatomy room. We walked the whole time and covered all of the city. Best to do this tour at the beginning of your trip, you will then know your way around the city for the rest of your visit.

An excellent orientation to the centre of Bologna

Our tour guide, Giulia, was extremely knowledgeable about Bologna and it's history and architecture. Altho' the day was quite chilly and windy, we all stuck it out and thoroughly enjoyed seeing Piazza Maggiore, San Petronio Basilica, the 'donkey' towers, the old university and the anatomical theatre, the seven churches and Santo Stefano basilica, Palazzo Salina-Amorini and all the faces, the market, and the kilometers of arches. All in all, a great tour.

And extraordinary well spent educational experience

From the moment I met my tour leader Manuela, I knew this was going to be a time well spent. All in all I learned a lot from one who exude an enormous sense of pride in her city and culture. She spoke from her heart and saw Bologna as an integral part of who she was. She investied a good part of her life into teaching others about her traditions, and one could tell she was honest, sincere and passionate. I was also impressed with her level of knowledge. She addressed her comments and made her presentation applicable to my own experiences. Her answers to questions were well thought out and her presentation professional. I could not have been more impressed with Manuelle a I could not have been more impressed with Manuela and I'm grateful for having been connected with this guide.
