What people are saying about Bologna
I definitely would recommend this experience. I was able to taste things that I probably wouldn't have tried if I was just going around myself. The value is perfectly reasonable, and it's so nice to be able to just hand the waiter the voucher and not have to do anything else. Everything I had was very tasty and although smaller portion sizes, I was very full after using all the vouchers (within the span of 5 hours, on a day trip). The cold cuts platter with a full glass of wine and the parmigiano sample with balsamic were especially exceptional. It was just such a pleasure to be able to tour around Bologna, walking around and stopping to try different Italian foods and snacks. I would absolutely suggest doing this food tour, which you can completely moderate to your own pace as the vouchers don't expire.
This tour was a bit of a splurge, but it was a very efficient use of 7 hours on the last day of our vacation. My daughter and I were given private tours at all of the places we went and it was truly an incredible experience. Tasting different ages of parmesan cheese and then getting to sample 50 year old balsamic vinegar. How else are you going to do that?? Just amazing. Also got to purchase everything we tasted at a fraction of the price it would cost in the United States. If you're a true foodie, you need to do this!
Excellent welcome to the city and delivery of information on the services purchased! The red bus is essential to get to know the basics of the old town and the pizza and chocolate tastings were very good! Advance coordination via WhatsApp is appreciated.
We had a great time with Damiano! He was patient with us with the bikes and very knowledgeable about Bologna. The little bar at the end with wine and pastries was awesome!
Excellent. Every city should have such a tour, it's the best way to explore.
