    Enjoy a hop-on hop-off tour aboard Boston’s charming orange and green Old Town Trolley and visit more than 100 points of interest in the city at your own pace. Enjoy the freedom to hop on or off all day and discover sights like the Boston State House, Liberty Wharf, and the Charlestown Navy Yard.

    From December to March, choose between the 1-day (silver), 2-day (gold), or 3-day (platinum) ticket options.

    From April until November, choose between the 1-day (silver), 1-day with harbor tour (gold), or 2-day with harbor tour (platinum) options. What better way to see Boston than by both land and sea? The Boston Trolley tour covers all the major areas including downtown, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, the theater district, and the waterfront. Conductors narrate the tour, offering a fun mix of trivia and humorous stories.

    There are 14 stops conveniently located close to over 100 points of interest in Boston, these are:

    Your hop-on-hop-off tour starts at the Trolley Booth, located at the end of Long Wharf Marriott. However, you can also join the tour at any of the boarding locations as well. Tours depart from boarding locations approximately every half hour. Show your voucher to the bus driver when you take the tour. If you get on where there is no ticket depot, the conductor will give you the map and schedule.

    Know before you go

    • Tours depart from boarding locations approximately every half hour
    • Harbor Tours are seasonal and operate from April until November
    • From November until March, the following options will include an extra Hop-on Hop-off day as a replacement for the harbor cruise that is offered only from April to November:
    • The Gold Pass will be a 2-day Hop-on Hop-off Tour
    • The Platinum Pass will be a 3-day Hop-on Hop-off Tour
    • Effective from November 29: The last tour departure time from Stop 1 will be at 4 pm instead of 5 pm
    • No tours are scheduled on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or Patriots Day
    • Hop-on hop-off tickets are valid until the end of the business day on the day(s) of use

    Let's not kid ourselves, for a visitor from a small town to Boston, it is the most chaotic, confusing driving experience imaginable. That is why a tour such as this was perfect! You can narrow down what is most interesting to you, and plan your day around that. I rode around all the 15 stops to get my bearings and then hopped off a stop the next go around. The tour guides were very knowledgable about everything on the route. It was, IMO, the ONLY way to go!!!

    Can't go wrong with Boston. My favourite city. Best city on earth. The bus is every 20 minutes from stops all over Boston so you can hop off anytime and see all of the city. The drivers Bear and Irish, were very knowledgeable and funny at the same time. Would do again even to get around Boston.

    What a great way to explore Boston with little kids! We took our 3 and 4 year old along with their double stroller that we could fold up and bring onboard or else have the driver store in a compartment. It was also super-easy finding and getting to the trolley stops. I highly recommend.
