Travel back in time to discover some of the oldest cities in Portugal and see historic monuments existing side by side with modern-day life. Choose a guided public or private tour according to your preferences. Following pick-up from your hotel in Oporto, begin the day by visiting Braga, nicknamed the "Rome of Portugal" for its rich culture and traditions. See the emblematic squares and churches of Portugal's oldest city, along with monuments such as the Sé Cathedral, Bom Jesus Sanctuary and Sameiro Sanctuary. After visiting the monuments in Braga, delight yourself with the delicious dishes of Portugal in a typical restaurant of the city of Braga (The guide will inform you about the dishes available on the day of the visit) Then travel to the medieval city of Guimarães, considered the "Cradle of Portugal." Walk the streets of the historic district and visit the main attractions and monuments, such as the Palace of the Dukes, Guimarães Castle and S. Miguel Chapel.

A leisurely walk in 3 old cities with lots of historical significance. Carla was very pleasant and introduced the sights to us, although we would have loved to hear more stories of the history behind the buildings and the cities. Lunch was delicious with a 3 course meal including wine and coffee. Transportation was comfortable and efficient, all in all, we had a good day.

We had a lovely day out with Carla. She took us to the best places in each of the 3 towns so we saw everything. The towns were lovely with very good photo opportunities.
