Full description
Start your tour in Dumbo on the beautiful waterfront with sweeping views across the East River. Visit the historic and newly redeveloped Brooklyn Navy Yard and head into southern Williamsburg, a neighborhood of artists, graffiti, and some of New York City's best bars. Stop for breakfast before exploring the neighborhood. Ride into Greenpoint and Bushwick. Head to Fort Greene Park to see the Martyred Prisoners' Monument. Pass by the Barclay's Center and Historically Preserved Government Buildings. Stop at the Grand Army Plaza to see the Soldiers' and Sailors' Arch and the Public Library. Ride through Prospect Park, a cycling paradise. Head through Park Slope, Gowanus and Carroll Gardens, and perhaps stop at Other Half Brewing Company. Ride into Red Hook peninsula for a quick snack and drink along the waterfront.  Visit Steve's Key Lime Pies and take pictures of the Statue of Liberty. Stop at Widow Jane Distillery, and perhaps enjoy a quick chocolate tasting at Raaka Virgin Chocolate. Explore Cobble Hill's brownstone-lined streets and small restaurants. Head into Cadman Plaza and Brooklyn Heights to see the diverse architecture in tranquility at the first historically preserved neighborhood in the United States. Carry on back through Dumbo.

Super trip with plenty of background information. Our guide always had the best spots in mind regarding coffee, lunch or a very much deserved ice ccremeclose to the end of our about 30-35 miles and 6 hours trip. Bikes are good. Give them a proper ride on the yard before the tour actually starts to check the shift gear, tire pressure,... as you will ride all day long and you want to be comfortable. No need to bring water bottles, as there is always a chance during the trip to get one in the neighborhoods. Don't forget sunscreen! Will come back for another trip!

No hay nada preferible a coger una bicicleta y pasear con un guía y unos amigos por una ciudad nueva. Super-recomendable. Para Brooklyn aún no lo tienen en español (oct. 2018) There's no better way to know a new place than getting a bike and ride around with a guide and a few friends. Strongly recommendable. They ought to offer it also in Spanish (oct. 2018)
