Full description
Start the tour by boarding the cruise ship at the wharf at the Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour. Then, set off on your river cruise which travels upstream for about 8 km. During the cruise, view beautiful rainforest scenery, amazing birds, wildlife, and marine life. Be entertained by the commentary of local knowledgeable guides as you learn about the fascinating history and environment of this tranquil, pristine area in Byron shire. Enjoy a delicious morning tea including local plunger coffee, selection of teas, hot chocolate, juice, delicious gourmet cakes and biscuits. Finally, return to the harbor feeling relaxed and with a wealth of local and environmental knowledge.

I took the trip mainly to try and get some pictures of the local birdlife. I did getsome nice shots of numerous species, Brahminy Kite, White Bellied Sea Eagle, Striated Heron and a few other more common species. Apart from the birds, the scenery is beautiful and it's a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Recomended.

Brunswick is renowned for 'Simple Pleasures" and nothing beats the beauty and tranquillity of a cruise from The Brunswick upstream taking in all it has to offer culminating in an uninterrupted view of Mt Chincogan the crowning glory of the Brunswick valley. Wildlife abounds from the tiny sacred Kingfisher to the White - breasted sea eagle . The coffee and cake was delightfully served to us from our congenial hosts.
