Very long trip but worth seeing the Pyramids (240EGP) and the treasures of Tutankhamen at the Museum (200EGP) also the boat ride to the restaurant (200EGP). As usual bring with you 5EGP+toilet paper for any toilet you want to go. Cairo was very crowded and the time spent at the Pyramids could have been more, instead it seemed a bit rushed. In the end is what you take the whole trip for, so it should have more time allocated. But overall we were VERY HAPPY about the trip, our guide Ahmed was very good!! (Tip earned) Be prepared to tip the driver…One of them forced us to, despite we felt in danger for 3/4 times with his driving style, he smoked and asked us to pay for water whereas is should have been complimentary. Thumb down for this.

The whole trip is long and exhausting. Sitting space in the mini bus was really limited for that lenght of journey. In the description they had said only 2 bottles of water were provided, but our guide decided to buy some more for us (bless her heart). Be aware of some additional costs, like enties to the pyramids area and and Egyptian museum (additional 25euro for both entrances per person); if you are willing to go inside the Great Pyramid there is another additional cost!; they wanted us to take a boat to the restauant as well (optional but putting to much pressure on actually buying - 10 euros per person), you can go by mini bus for free though. Please bring a scarf or something simillar as it's quite windy near pyramids and all the sand will land in your mouth! (personal experience). In general, a whole trip was safe and kind of interesting.

It was a super nice day, we can recommend the tour to everyone. The organization was great, the guides were all very helpful and literally burned for the history of ancient Egypt. In particular, our German-speaking guide Ahmed was an absolute highlight, very competent and funny. Daily routine: - Pick up at 2:00 am from El Gouna - Drive to Cairo with 2 stops (7 hours) - Egyptian Museum (10€) (but you can skip it if you are not interested) - Lunch buffet on a boat (very tasty ) - Pyramid complex (10€) - Visit to a small papyrus shop (demonstration on how to make papyrus) - Return journey and arrival at the hotel around 10:00 p.m. All in all a very long day, very hot (40°) but beautiful day with many great impressions and beautiful souvenir photos. However, a neck pillow is recommended for the long journey. Local prices are heavily dependent on the current exchange rate.
