Capri Island Full Day Trip from Sorrento & Boat Ride

1. Capri Island Full Day Trip from Sorrento & Boat Ride

After a pick-up at your hotel, meet your guide at Nerano's pier, 30 minutes by bus, and board the boat for Capri Island. The full-day journey takes you via Punta del Capo and the Baths of Queen Giovanna, and the seat of Villa Pollio Felix, the most important Roman archaeological site in Sorrento. Sail along the Sorrento peninsula’s rocky coastline, Massa Lubrense, and Mitigliano Bay. The scenic crossing over from mainland Nerano/Sorrento Coast to Capri Island is approximately 35 minutes. Arrive on the island in the morning at Marina Grande Harbour.  Enjoy enough free time on your own as you wish (option 1), or, for an additional cost, join the recommended visit to both main towns, Capri and Anacapri, via a private minibus skip-the-line service with your guide, to save time and see more (option 2). The 1-hour boat ride around the entire island usually happens in the afternoon. Choose to follow a guided tour of the island (additional cost), or discover the island on your own. At the end of the day you’ll take the boat back to Sorrento.

Absolutely amazing! Instead of Sorrento, you get on a boat in Nerano, which is a beautiful small village ~40 min away (read less crowded). The tour guides were fantastic! Well informed, funny, and incredibly well organised. Once in Marina Grande, you can take their shuttle service to go to Capri and Anacapri. It costs 22€, which is ~6€ more than the public transport, but well worth the time and convenience, so make sure you go with them. We were lucky to have Grotta Azzura open for visitors that day, and the guides made sure we make it in time and don't wait too long to enter the cave. The boat ride around the island was very relaxing and nice. Paying extras is totally worth it, you'll spend a few euros more, but you'll gain so much from it, because you'll save so much time and energy, that you can then spend enjoying this wonderful island.

The whole day went perfect! There were so many different things that could be stressful if you did it all on your own. However with the trip and the guides they made it feel relaxed, organised and it ran so smoothly! The guides made sure you did not miss anything and gave you the opportunity to do everything. You have to pay for the extras such as the shuttle bus, the cable car, the blue grotto, but they were 100% worth it! And they are optional extras.

Great day. So we’ll organised. Maria was very knowledgeable and made sure we were well informed but also gave us space. The trip round the island at the end of the day was a highlight. We paid extra for the minibus and would recommend it.

Great trip and good value. A mini-bus ride there and back to pick up the boat and the tour for €22 each seemed good vale as no stress. Maria was an excellent guide - highly recommended

Very well organized from being picked up from the hotel to being taken back
