Hiking is recommended but no swimming because of sheer riptides. Carry on to Cape Point and walk for 20 minutes one way up to a historic lighthouse. You could also take a funicular at your own account if you are not in the mood for walking. Feel free to stop for lunch at the world-class seafood restaurant with a sea view or grab a quick bite in the food shop next door. Next, embark on a journey to Simon's Town for a special date with the endangered African penguins at Boulders Beach. Spend about 45 minutes at the penguin colony before you head back to Cape Town along the coastline. Pass through the quaint towns on this historically known Millionaire's Mile. Hear fun facts about the navy and Just Nuisance - the only dog in the world to have been an able seaman. All our tours are guided at a leisurely pace, offering a soft adventure nature experience. We have availability for up to 4 guests per experience. This small intimate group allows us to immerse ourselves in nature and fully absorb the surroundings. Activity only tour includes: Meet us at the start of the activity at the Cape Point Nature Reserve entrance at 09:00, we will make our way into the park, off load the bicycles and enjoy an approx. 2 to 3 hour cycle through the nature reserve enjoying the fantastic ocean views and stunning fynbos. We load the bicycles up and make our way to the Cape Point Funicular where you can explore the lighthouse. Age restrictions: Private Tour – 12 years and above Scheduled Tour – 16 years and above Cape Point is on the most South Westerly tip of Africa in the Cape Point National Park. A total must-visit! Cape Point as it's simply breath-taking, and the only attraction we offer with well-surfaced roads. This is excellent terrain to get you comfortable in the saddle on the e-bike. We start the tour at the Buffels Bay visitor centre where we set off to traverse the park on our E-bikes, taking in the famous diverse floral kingdom and wildlife including a variety of antelope, ostriches and baboons. And, don't forget about the ride along the coast's crashing surf, simply stunning. Ending up back at the Buffels Bay visitor centre we load up the bicycles and make our way to the lighthouse where we take a funicular ride to visit this historic powerful lighthouse on a peak that rises up 250 m at the tip of the Point. This overlooks one of the most treacherous coastlines for mariners. The lighthouse was built as the most powerful in Africa with its light visible for over 60 km. Here the tour ends and you can enjoy the rest of your day under your own arrangements.

10. Exclusive Cape Peninsular Day Tour

We spend the day exploring the Peninsula making photo stops at every opportunity. Chapmans Peak was built between 1915 and 1922 with the use of convict labour. It offers a 180-degree panoramic view and is a sightseer’s dream. It leads into the small naval town of Simons Town that is home to the Boulders beach penguin colony. After a visit here we make our way to the Cape Point national park for a short walk to the most South Westerly point on the African continent. We make our way back to the city via Scarborough and Misty cliffs that acquired its name because of the constant mist that hangs over the small town for most of the year.
