This was our first trip to South Africa and also our first safari. Meaning we have no comparision. That said, we found it worth every penny. We were picked up in Cape Town in front of the house we stayed. The driver was friendly and very informative. The ride to the park had multiple interesting stops. Same on the way back. Yes, it's long, but you know that upfront. The park and the safari left us with memories we'll talk about for many years to come. The stay in the chalet was just perfect with a little private deck to view the landscape. We had a plunge in the pool and a coctail at the pool bar before we set off for the evening safari. Obvioulsy the 2 trips (evening & morning) with the jeeps were what we came for. And we found it fantastic! The ranger was super friendly and told us everything about the animals. You could sense that these guys are passionate about their jobs. Dinner and breakfast were very good too. In short: we loved it!

The safari was really a great experience! The way from Cape Town is relatively long. We left at 6:15 a.m. and arrived around 1 p.m. But you make very interesting stopovers and get an impression of the area. The safari was really great. We were lucky enough to witness a successful cheetah hunt. I can recommend the safari to everyone.

It should be noted how well our SIBU guide made us feel we were a fair bit of English but we felt integrated at all times, driving the minibus of 10! The safari experience is completely worth it, we get to see many animals and if you are in a hurry (not being able to travel to the Kruger) it is a great alternative!
