We had an excellent day, visiting 6 vineyards. We started the day with a wine and fudge pairing tasting (yum!) and a gin tasting, and ended the day at Boschendal with a premium wine tasting, and a wine and chocolate pairing tasting (even more yum!)! Would 100% recommend this, the artisanal chocolates were incredible with the wine. We mostly had the estate(cheaper) wines and would recommend spending a bit more for the premium wines, as we found out at Boschendal, this does make quite a difference!

The tours are perfectly organized. We experienced the event in mid-October. There were only two lines. Purple & Orange. Since we were traveling with children, we automatically ended up on the Orange Line at the beginning. Our stops 1. Vrede en Lust - we first had a very tasty breakfast. There is also a small playground (not in sight) 2. Babylonstoren - Wine tasting in a modern setting. 3. Anura - many toads used to live here. Everywhere pools. Very good for relaxing. With a beer brewery 4. Allée Bleue - If you book a picnic in advance (we did it until 9 am on the same day) you will receive delicious delicacies at the table or on a blanket. Very child-friendly (playground and bouncy castle) 5. Boschendal - very nice ambience under a huge oak tree By the way, there are more buses than trams.
